MQTT Recorder Module

Receives record objects arriving via MQTT/Sparkplug

With the power of MQTT, data records can now be published as immutable records. This module automatically builds a table and also automatically populates it. Moreover, this record can receive a timestamp and carry a SHA-256 hash key, which ensures that the entire content of the record has not been tampered with at the source.

Example of record flow

The diagram below illustrates an example of the data record flow for the MQTT Recorder with the EFM Emerson ROC module. This module polls locally on the Ignition or Ignition Edge platform for events, alarms, and history records on the flow computer. MQTT Transmission publishes the record to the MQTT server. The MQTT Engine on the primary Ignition Gateway subscribes to the MQTT server to receive the record. The MQTT Recorder module works in conjunction with the MQTT Engine module to receive the record and store the record data in a table in the SQL database.
