With web services, you can consume data from and send data to external and local web services, using both REST and SOAP protocols. Additionally, this module transforms your Ignition server into a RESTful and SOAP web service, allowing you to be the source of accurate data at any time.

The consumer or client functionality of this module gives your Ignition server the ability to retrieve data from and send data to web services. This allows you to obtain weather or map data from a Representational State Transfer (RESTful) Application Programming Interface (API) or gather upcoming work orders from the Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP) interface of ERP systems. With the intuitive interface of this module, you can configure your request once and then apply it across all your Ignition projects. No need to rewrite complex REST queries anymore; just execute your custom-configured web service.

Web service providers can be configured to use your existing Ignition user sources, making your web service as secure as your Ignition server. Additionally, all communication can be sent via SSL, ensuring your communication is encrypted and secure.

Compatibility with business connectors
This module seamlessly integrates with the Business Connector module, allowing you to visually construct complex workflows that include web service calls through an intuitive drag-and-drop interface.
